You gotta have fun. See you on the dance floor!

Louisiana-style dance music deserves a greater following in the state of Florida. Those of us who love the music need to support clubs and venues which host live bands, and we also need to know where to go.  That is the purpose of this Website.  This site features a calendar of dance events throughout the state, and each listing is color coded by region, so you can find dance events near you.

For a lot of reasons, Florida is the perfect place to build a huge dance community.  We're close to Louisiana, so it is easy to get Louisiana bands to Florida venues. A large part of the population has migrated to Florida from elsewhere, and residents already support many dance clubs for swing, country, salsa, ballroom, and tango, to name a few.  It is not uncommon for dancers to travel the state --- and beyond --- for an evening or weekend of dancing. We can build a dedicated community of Cajun-Zydeco enthusiasts in each of the five regions of Florida so that dancers have at least one place to go each week for Louisiana-style dancing, and support clubs which host these dances.
